Children in our Private Kindergarten enjoy the benefits of having a full day program in a nurturing educational environment. Our children are divided into small groups and this gives the teacher the ability to best help each child develop based on their individual skills and needs. The children rotate in groups to specific work areas such as reading, writing, art, and math & science. They get individual attention with their teacher daily at the phonics reading center as she helps promote them into strong energetic readers. Everyday Math by The University of Chicago is used to also sharpen their math concepts as they bridge from concrete concepts to abstract calculations. Cornerstone School Allen is a school of discovery...our philosophy is the same...to lead our children how to live and how to be by the experience they have and by the discoveries they make. It is also important that our children develop a sense of personal responsibility that will carry with them throughout life. They begin to understand their social relationship within the classroom, as well as their personal responsibilities. The children will also enjoy music, computer class, swimming in our indoor heated pool and other exciting lessons as a part of our program.
